Area Residential Care is seeking applicants that want to make a difference in the lives of others. We support individuals with intellectual disabilities, and direct support staff play a role in making sure those individuals live as independently as possible. We have residential homes in Dubuque and Dyersville, IA, and provide day services at our main building in Dubuque. As a part of the Area Residential Care team, first shift staff will start at a home, transport the clients to the main building for day services, engage clients throughout the day in group outings and activities, and provide assistance with activities of daily living as needed.

Minimum qualifications:

  • A high school diploma/ HSED

  • Six months consistent work experience

  • A valid driver's license

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Schedules:​

  • 1st shift full-time staff work 7 a.m.–3 p.m. with rotating weekends.

  • Part-time hours range from 8-30 hours per week.

 

Hourly Rate:

  • Full-Time: $15.50 - $16.45 per hour depending on experience and education

​

COVID-19 considerations:

Candidates for employment must provide evidence of their first COVID-19 vaccine prior to the start of employment, or successfully request a medical or religious exemption to this requirement. The second vaccine is required within 30 days unless exempted.
