About the Job: Area Residential Care is seeking a Program Coordinator that is highly knowledgeable in delivering high quality services and supports for people with intellectual disabilities. This position is responsible for ensuring all regulatory requirements are followed and for the overall programming offered in our residential and supported community living homes.
Responsibilities include:

Provide guidance and direction to up to 9 residential supervisors.

Operating the agency’s residential programs;

Reviewing residential activity plans for quality;

Providing feedback and recommendations for best practices; and

Aligning residential programs with accreditation and regulatory service definitions

The position reports to the Associate Executive Director.
​
Schedule: First Shift, Monday - Friday (Flexible Times)
Wage: $48,972.71 - $57,795.42

Qualified candidates will have:
-
A BS/BA degree in an education or human services-related field;
-
A minimum of three years of relevant experience that includes at least two in supervision;
-
Professional communication and technical skills;
-
A knowledge of I/DD licensing and accreditation in the state of Iowa; and
-
Strong leadership abilities.
The successful candidate is required to successfully pass a background check and complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen as a condition of employment. In accordance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services mandate, candidates for employment must provide evidence of their first COVID-19 vaccine prior to the start of employment, or successfully request a medical or religious exemption to this requirement. The second vaccine is required within 30 days unless exempted.
