Area Residential Care (ARC) is seeking a Direct Support Professional that wants to make a difference in peoples' lives. We support individuals with intellectual disabilities, direct care staff play a role in making sure those individuals live as independently as possible. We have residential homes in Dubuque, IA, homes in Dyersville, IA, as well as a main building used for day habilitation activities. As a part of the Area Residential Care team, the 3rd shift direct care staff will work at one or more residential homes, perform deep cleaning, make routine bed checks, help individuals get up in the morning and assist the individuals when needed. The 2nd shift direct care staff will work in one or more residential homes, participate in group outings and activities, help our individuals prepare their meals, and assist the individuals when needed. First shift staff will start at a home, transport the clients to the main building for day hab, and interact with the clients throughout the day.
A highly qualified candidate will have:

A high school diploma/ G.E.D
-
A valid driver's license

Six months consistent work experience

Salary: $14/hour plus $4/hour weekend shift differential
