About the job: Area Residential Care is seeking a full-time Scheduling Coordinator to add to our team! We provide services to empower people with intellectual disabilities to achieve their highest quality of life. The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for developing staff work schedules for all agency programs and is critical to ensuring adequate staffing for our 24/7 operations.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Staff scheduling according to company policies and the union contract;

  • Contacting staff to fill open shifts;

  • Communicating effectively between different departments; and

  • Maintaining the seniority calling lists for scheduling.
     

The Scheduling Coordinator may also provide administrative support as needed.

 

About you: Qualified applicants will have:

  • High school diploma or HSED required, Associate degree is preferred,

  • Demonstrated consecutive work experience, 6 months minimum,

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365,

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities, and 

  • A valid driver’s license to become an agency driver.

 

A highly qualified candidate will have prior experience in scheduling work shifts. Experience with individuals with intellectual/development disabilities is desirable. This full-time position will work from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The wage is $15.27-16.03/hr. based on education and relevant experience. 

The successful candidate is required to successfully pass a background check and complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen as a condition of employment. In accordance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services mandate, candidates for employment must provide evidence of their first COVID-19 vaccine prior to the start of employment, or successfully request a medical or religious exemption to this requirement. The second vaccine is required within 30 days unless exempted.
