About the job: Area Residential Care is seeking a full-time IT Specialist to add to our team! Our mission is to empower people with intellectual disabilities to achieve their highest quality of life. Our vision is that every individual has the opportunity to live, work, and participate in a supportive and accessible community. The IT Specialist is in charge of setting up new hires electronically in our system as well as providing any technical assistance with server or software issues should they arise for our administrative team.
Schedule: First Shift, Monday - Friday (Flexible Times)

Responsibilities:
-
Provide technical assistance to staff, ensuring optimal use of information technology (IT) hardware, software, and cloud technologies, enhance system performance, secure data, and advise on IT equipment upgrades.

Responsible for overseeing the ongoing operation and maintenance of the agency's IT systems.

Recommend purchase or lease of appropriate hardware and software to meet the agency's needs.

Set up and maintains IT equipment and systems, including software, cloud, internet connectivity and protocols, to meet the requirements of various departments

Maintains IT technology/software records.
Required Qualifications:
-
Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.

A minimum of two years’ experience working in computer and network setup/maintenance.

Must have experience with Active Directory.

Must have demonstrated knowledge of user profile management.

Must be able to set up Windows network shares and understand Microsoft administration.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to regularly lift and transfer 20-50 lbs.
Preferred:
-
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
-
Microsoft Systems Administrator and other certification(s) are highly desirable.

Knowledge of Citrix, Windows, SQL, and other application software programs is essential.

Experience with CISCO, IOS, Microsoft SQL, CITRIX APP. Server & PBX is a plus

The selected candidate is required to successfully pass a background check and complete a pre-employment physical and drug screen as a condition of employment.
